The article considers the issues of health protection of children in preschool educational institutions (PEI) in the conditions of a full-scale war; notes the need to apply a trauma-informed approach to the organisation of the educational process in PEI, identifies the directions in which it is advisable to form the health-saving competence of preschool children; provides a number of qualitative characteristics and possibilities of the project (according to K. Androsovych); characterises the potential of project activities as a means of forming the health-saving competence of preschool children.
